Hello, my name is Kenneth Allen, husband and father who loves taking pictures.Photography began as a hobby. As my passion and skills have grown, I now produce photos for professional and person use for clients of all ages.
I was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, a proud product of the Rondo neighborhood. My photography initially began when my father gave me a camera to capture my brother's sporting events. Over time, I came to appreciate the power of photography to preserve memories and tell meaningful stories.
What started as a hobby eventually grew into a career built around connecting with people and documenting important moments in their lives. One of my turning point moments came from my niece’s wedding. I have only done a few smaller weddings and do not consider myself a wedding photographer. My niece hired a great photographer yet chose one of my candid photos as her profile picture.
What makes Kenneth Allen Photography unique is the personal experience. When you book a session with Kenneth Allen Photography, your photos are taken by Kenneth Allen himself. I don’t pass you off to another photographer—you're working directly with the person behind the brand from start to finish.
My studio in the Brooklyn Park area provides a comfortable atmosphere where you can enjoy music of your choice and feel at ease during your session. The experience goes beyond simply taking pictures.
Together, we're capturing the memories, milestones, accomplishments, and goals you've worked hard to achieve—moments that tell your story and can be shared with family, friends, modeling agencies, your business website, and future generations.
To complete the experience, you will receive your professionally edited digital images along with behind-the-scenes footage from your session within 3 weeks. My goal is to give you a collection of memories that celebrate both the moment and the story behind it. I usually discuss basic skin retouching and blemish removal prior to making changes to the pictures taken. I want to make sure that you are satisfied with the edited photos.
My studio is located in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, but I will travel within a 60 mile radius. I specialize in capturing moments that tell your story and help you look your best. My approach is to allow you to be your authentic self in your sessions and have fun creating the images that you will come to share on social media or hang on your wall.

Preparing for your photo session
When you complete a contact form or call to schedule a session, we will talk through specific details. You will want to consider the following:

Is the photoshoot for an individual or group?

Are the photos in the studio or do you want to capture outside images as well?
I like to take the time to have a conversation to discuss details and make recommendations on what to bring with you for the photoshoot. We will discuss the outfits that will work best to match the backgrounds available. I also like to hear about your taste in music. The goal is for you to relax and have fun to create a memorable experience.
For example, for senior photography, I often ask if clients want to incorporate balloons, photo boxes, their school colors, their sports or activities, and related details into the photoshoot. I believe this provides a customized experience so you are proud to show your family and peers the photos that are created.
I do offer photo packages as well as custom pricing based on what you would like from your experience. My goal is to capture the images you are seeking that you are pleased with when the photoshoot is over. I aim to edit and return pictures within 3 weeks or less depending on my current volume of work.
